Critical Diagrams

Critical Diagrams involves the pairing of principles of animation with responses to weekly readings. The graphics are made of abstract lines and dots to create a language of movement and behavior. The goal is to communicate a key stance from the reading through the implementation of the principle of animation of the week.

This project allows for the development of a unique language of movement that has communicative value, giving life to inanimate objects and creating engaging visual narratives.



This process involves the pairing of principles of animation with responses to weekly readings. Even tho the graphic elements are made of simple lines and dots, I was able to create a strong and complex language of movement and behavior.
Through the practice of easying ease, mass changing, follow and through, exaggeration, etc. I developed a deep understanding of the principles and how they can be used to convey meaning through movement by applying them in a more contextualized manner.
